Bio This coffee is from the Inga community in the high peaks of Narino. These isolated Incan descendants had no contact with the rest of Colombia until the late 19th century. Then in the 90s, they were forced to grow poppies for drug traffickers and paramilitaries. In 2002 Hernando Chindoy native of the Inga community worked to liberate his people from economic dependence on the gang and guerrilla run poppy farms. Since then the Inga people have been working on conservation and building a new economy by growing speciality coffee.
