Gatta farm, named after a nearby waterfall, is surrounded by old-growth forest. Mulugeta Dukamo discovered the location and set up the farm by planting coffee trees interspersed through the forest in 2013. The indigenous trees provide shade for the coffee plants with rivers flowing through providing a water source. In 2017 a drying station was set up in the area. Locals are employed for plantation, harvest and processing work. They are also given access to training with an on site facility providing courses on processing techniques.
