Altitude: 2,000 - 2,150 masl
Despite coffee being grown in this region since the 10th century, at which time the beans were consumed as an energy-providing food. Coffees from the Guji region were previously blended with Yirgecheffes to be sold. Now it is understood that the Altitude, rich soils and various microclimates in the region make a very unique cup. This coffee is from the Dambi Udo farm. This family-run farm grows their lots under the canopy of natural forests. They also do a lot of work in the community, from training neighbouring farmers and helping in maintaining the roads and contributing to building a school in the region.
There’s a soft peach acidity and ripe melon sweetness to this coffee.
