Nech Sar National Park is a 750 km2 nature reserve in the southwestern Ethiopian highlands. Roughly 15% of the park is made up of Lakes, where you can find Nile Crocodiles, Hippos and African Fish Eagles. East of the reserve is the Danche Washing Station. A station utilised by 400 smallholders farmers in the Chelbesa region. These farmers grow coffee in semi-forested areas averaging 1-2 hectares with 1800-2400 trees per hectare. Each tree will yield around 3kg of coffee cherry. This equates to roughly 1800-2000kg of beans per farm.
