After the death of her husband In 1885, Doña Lorenza Gil de Diaz acquired the farm now known as EL Bosque. Since then, the property has remained in the family for 5 generations. Employing 13 workers year-round and increasing that to 40 or 50 during harvest. Quality and precision have been the family’s focus for generations. One example of this is using Brixometers throughout the harvest to ensure only ripe cherries are picked.
